At the age of 6, I was in love with Bryan Adam’s “Everything I Do” – – Why? I have no idea.
I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago and I was overcome with nostalgia. I know that scent is supposedly the strongest sense tied to memory, but, for me, it’s music. Yes, that’s a sense.
There’s nothing quite like hearing a song to bring you back to a certain period of your life. It can be overwhelming in both a good and bad way, but the feelings caused by something as simple as hearing an old song are incredible whether or not it is positive or negative. I’d completely forgotten about Bryan Adams until it came through my car stereo, but the reaction that came with it really just told me that I must have tried to smother the 6 year old child angst that was so powerful in 1991 to save myself from the whirlwind of intense emotions I was controlled by.
I was 6 when this song came out. And I loved it so much.
This dramatic slow jam from Robin Hood starring Kevin Costner. What the heck is that about?
Did you watch it? Are you crying? Is your voice hoarse from singing?
